Tipper Gore, It’s Friday

Every week, we the contributors of SuperGlooze are going to round up some things that we have been really enjoying this week and share them with anyone willing to give it a try. We’ll try and keep a good mix of free/paid/subscription stuff because unlike a tree, we aren’t made of money.

Ashley: I read this amazing, engaging chronicle of Blac Chyna’s rise to fame and power and how she took on the Kardashians and came out on top. It’s everything you could ever want out of a celeb gossip story, seriously. Also, the new Astronautalis album Cut the Body Loose is out, and it’s making me very emotional! This dude’s music has been a huge part of my life fogr a very long time and it’s been a real journey listening to him grow as a person and a musical artist.

DLou: This week, I recommend cutting yourself some slack, giving yourself a break, and just taking a moment. Sometimes shit gets real and you just need to peace out on it for a little bit. Do that. I’d also like to recommend the My Favorite Murder podcast, if you have a weird true crime fascination like I do. Also, I can’t stop listening to Beat the Champ by the Mountain Goats.

Annie: I fully back Darc on the prospect of giving yourself a break. I am a huge proponent of ME TIME! On a more tangible note, I’m really into my Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Niagra Overlook (basically lipstick, but you get to feel like you’re coloring when you put it on). I’ve also been listening to the beautiful album Soundtrack to a Death by Mura Masa a lot lately and basically have the track Lotus Eater on repeat.
