Every week, we the contributors of Superglooze are going to round up some things that we have been really enjoying this week and share them with anyone willing to give it a try. We’ll try and keep a good mix of free/paid/subscription stuff because unlike a tree, we aren’t made of money.
Silvrwoman: This week, I’m recommending everyone check out the The Pinecrest Gazette, a hilarious blog by one of my favorite Tweeters, @chickysandwich.
DLou: This week I would like to recommend seeing local comedy, mainly because I have a show this weekend and if you live by me maybe you’ll come. Also, on last week’s NPR Pop Culture Happy Hour Audie Cornish recommended the TSA’s Instagram feed and I fully second that recommendation it has changed my life. It’s largely, guns, knives, and things people have tried to hide weed in, you’re welcome. Additionally, since I really only listen to podcasts, this week’s Reply All featured a very charming interview with Adam West and briefly mentioned the @batlabels Twitter feed, a Twitter feed comprised of explanatory labels from the 66-68 Batman Series.
Ashley: First of all I would like to recommend this moving and insightful essay from Nicole Chung at The Toast on her relationship with money and money-related anxiety over the course of her life. I’d also recommend taking a moment today to listen to your favorite Prince song and think about what a fearless and effective champion he was for the gender non-conforming and what a public believer he was in the power of women.
