Tough Grinch, It’s Friday!

Every week, we the contributors of Superglooze are going to round up some things that we have been really enjoying this week and share them with anyone willing to give it a try. We’ll try and keep a good mix of free/paid/subscription stuff because unlike a tree, we aren’t made of money.

Annie:

This week (and honestly every week) I’d like to recommend the Chris Gethard Show, which is delightfully bonkers. Check out the most recent episode where Diddy makes a spontaneous appearance and shows off that he is both the coolest guy around, and surprisingly funny. I’d also advise everyone to check out the latest episode of Paul F. Tompkins’ wonderful podcast SPONTANEANATION with guest Beth Stelling. The podcast is always fun, especially if you’re a nerd for improv comedy, but Beth is particularly delightful with her story telling and the cast of improvisers make things weird and hilarious right off the bat.

DLou:

This week Earwolf dropped a new pod on us called Hard Nation, with Nicole Byer as Hillary Clinton in the first episode. For a politics nerd like me this is, yuge. Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a beer festival, and my favorite beer there was the Vanilla Oatis Stout by Ninkasi Brewing Co. It was a smooth stout and you could really taste the vanilla. Lastly, I would like to recommend a lot of nice rest and relaxation for everyone as we head into the weekend.

Ashley:

My favorite boys Tim Batt and Guy Montgomery (from The Worst Idea of All Time podcast) teamed up with the crew over at Thrilling Adventure Hour to bring to us a live dramatic reading of Grown Ups 2 as recollected purely from memory by Guy and Tim. It was exactly as absurd and delightful as you’d expect. Also, every so often I like to re-watch every episode of Cutthroat Kitchen on Netflix. It is truly unique among cooking shows, and I cannot believe more people don’t watch it. Not to mention Alton Brown has gotten super hot recently.
